Began her cello studies with Alain Meunier, continuing at the Paris Conservatory where she graduated in 1981, in Philippe Muller's class. Eventually she attented the Royal Music School of The Hague (Netherlands) to study with Anner Bijlsma and moved next to New-York to attend Harvey Shapiro's lessons at the Juilliard Shool of Music.

Since 1989 her life is dedicated to chamber music: on ancient instrument with piano-forte or harpsichord and modern instrument in duo, trio with piano and sextet mostly (with the "Kammerensemble de Paris").

As a pedagogue, she is regularly invited to take part in juries or master-classes: in 2001, she was the French guest of the 1st International Cello Festival of Kobe, Japan where she also played recitals.

She wrote a new cello method for beginners (2 volumes printed by Editions Lemoine, Paris).

Before that, Odile BOURIN was principal cello at the "Strasburger Philharmonic Orchestra" (from 1985 to 1988), then toured intensively with "I Solisti Veneti" and the "Orchestre de Paris", "La Grande Ecurie" et "la Chambre du Roy", Š under the direction of prestigious conductors.

She is actually a member of:
