Created in 1983 (first published in 1985) and headed by Brigitte CASSIGNEUL, this directory is dedicated to the development of women in the professional world, giving them the opportunity to share experiences and interface with others who have "made" it or are seeking to. Inspired by the "Bottin des femmes professionnelles et commerçantes" in Montréal (Québec) 1982.
"L'Annuaire au Feminin", the first book of this kind in France, is not only a source of information for women but for all professionals seeking the right person to fill the position. It also allows successful women to advertise their abilities as well as encourage encounters with other high caliber people.
It gives women the opportunity to meet with each other, to benefit from each others ideas and experiences as well as collaborate. Such women may not be found as easily in France as in Europe.
N°5 contained over 1500 references of women. 1000 telephone numbers, 3 index tables, 130 women speakers, 300 national associations, 400 contacts all over France. In 96, on the WEB, the ambition is to quote 100 associations in each of the countries of the European Community. To enable us to weave a vast network of "active thinking power and promising potential", according to Hervé Sérieyx, famous speaker on management in France. N° 6 is updated on paper in 2002.

The directory is the product of Ms Cassigneul's professional telephone book : a collector of people, she has been a resource person for journalists, recruiters and other organizations seeking to contact with women and men who fit the bill for interviews, jobs, speaking engagement, etc ...
