Women helping Women

The Resource Center for Women "Marta" promotes mutual suppport, understanding, and solidarity between women, regardless of a woman's age, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status.

Center "Marta" educates clients about their rights, provides them with information, and helps women develop their knowledge base and competency so that women gain confidence in their own abilities to successfully realize their goals.

Mission of the Organization:

To promote the protection of women's rights and the betterment of the socioeconomic situation of women.

The goal of the Resource Center for Women "Marta" is to facilitate gender equality and to protect the rights of women in Latvia.

The Responsibilities of Resource Center for Women "Marta":

• Facilitate the social integration of low-income women;
• Secure support services for victims of human trafficking;
• Develop broad cooperation between women's organizations and facilitate a network of cooperation between women's organizations in Latvia;
• Influence and monitor processes of political development.
