Our Mission

updated: august 2005

We want this virtual network to be a place of freedom, of growth, of research and of development.

We want to promote mutual enrichment between WOMEN by allowing them to express themselves about their professional or non-professional achievements, to compare their experience thanks to a directory and thanks to regular formal as well as non formal meetings.

The aim is to gather the potentialities of these new WOMEN to reach a multi strength and a synergy between each person's resources. This should allow each of them to find last minute information, new methodologies to handle each problem, adaptable and relevant training, with a fresh motivation to work on projects.

But a place where one can exchange and confront is not enough, WE want to privilege top level reflection, the development of original and innovative approaches, and most of all action.

To be able to open new spaces of freedom, to be where the whole future is being settled, one has to clear mindedly choose the way of innovation.

"Active solidarity" between self-sufficient WOMEN. This network (in French : "réseau") puts together women who want to be self-sufficient and in harmony with themselves and with the others.

They have chosen, and they practice a new concept of solidarity : to help the other to become self-sufficient.

Some characteristics of these WOMEN:

  • They are positive towards life
  • They have very different friends
  • They are able to listen
  • They are sensitive, honest and responsible
  • They have already achieved something
  • They learn from their difficulties
  • They are rigorous in their work
  • They are interested in new technologies
  • They are citizens of the world
  • They want to deepen the meaning of their life

And last but not least, they have a sense of humor !

If you have at least six out of these ten caracteristics, come and join us, you will add your skills to ours Š and multiply our efficiency Š

NB

The first part was written in February 1984 by three members of the network (amongst which BC, DV) following a group work, and one day of reflection.

The second part (the ten items) is the synthesis of a book written by Gail SHEEHY, the author of several best-sellers, amongst which "Passages". This last one was edited in the United States under the title : "The Pathfinders" and published in France under the title : "Les sauteurs d'obstacles" in 1982. It is the result of a huge survey towards 1500 persons who have "achieved their life" and not necessarily "got on in life".
